RHEOLOGICAL, FLUIDIC AND HEAT TRANSPORT CALCULATIONS
In addition to various common calculations in classical detail engineering, the most important processes for the formation of fibres can be calculated and simulated. Decisive components for these caulcations include heat- and substance transport, rheology with various effects, pressure loss, flow uniformity and avoidance of dead spots.
Our engineers will individually calculate, design and construct quench and climate chambers according to your system’s requirements for cooling and solidifying fibres.
We provide the following options:
- Quench chambers for 1, 2 or 4 fibres respectively strung together without any gaps
- Climate chamber for one fibre at lukewarm temperature with the supply of conditioned air or sealing gas
MainTech Systems will calculate and construct individual spinning nozzles and spinning nozzle packages for any temperature level according to your requirements and needs. The nozzles will be designed according to all rheological data necessary for the theory and experimentation of the design.
Options that have already been executed include:
- hollow thread nozzles
- spinning packages for polyamide, polyester and polypropylene
- slot nozzles
- cap nozzles
The melt pipelines from the extruder to nozzles will be individually designed and constructed according to the requirements of your system.
According to your needs we will provide the following:
- Definition of the rheological data of your polymer
- Layout of the melt pipe
- Design
- Manufacturing
